Joe

Joe has now officially lost 100 lbs!! I can’t believe it. We actually are making it happen with this whole keto business!!!

It was Joe in 2018 who wanted to try the ketogenic diet. I thought of it as a fad diet and had been through almost 2 years of 2 different diet programs and was taught to stay away from such fads.

I honestly cannot recall how he eventually convinced me, but he did. On April 2, 2018 we began our journey. If you know my story, then you know I fell off the wagon for several months. It was Joe that enticed me to come back! And I am so glad he did.

Joe never fell off the wagon. He just keeps plugging steadily forward. That is kind of his way.

In some ways, I wish I had started this blog at another point in my journey, our journey. Because we go through things and I don’t know how they will turn out. Sometimes we feel things and I am not sure how to proceed. I wish I had all the insights and answers that I could share with you.

But I just don’t right now. Not yet.

    Personal to Jennifer:
But you are doing it — and it is so very evident. Just want to jump for joy for both of you.
I’ve been through a very hard year and have gained 20+ pounds. I had back surgery in June, infection and another surgery in July, infection and another surgery in August. Then the incisions refused to heal. Nine months later, we are still trying to get the hole in my back to close. Much pain, struggles with depression, and weight gain. They kept telling me to eat, eat. You can loose later, but you have to have food to heal. Ugh!
    Thank you for encouraging me.
(we moved to north Atlanta in 2015 to be near our youngest daughter, Amy and family)

Jerrie it is great to hear from you!! I wish you all the best! Thank you for your encouraging words! It can be overwhelming thinking about what all needs to be done. It is very hard for me to just do what I can today and feel satisfied with that effort. But it adds up! Enjoy your family. We are going to welcome our second grandchild in August. Grandchildren and adult children are the BEST!! 💙
